Sister Act
Lucile Randon, also known as Sister André, is a 118-year-old French Catholic nun, and widely believed to be the oldest person living on the planet today. She ascended to this notoriety following the death of Kane Tanaka of Japan, who passed in April away at age of 119.
Randon is also the oldest known survivor of COVID-19, and is a poster child for the new age; she is engaged, she purposeful, and she is curious. Randon fills her days with things that bring her happiness and meaning. She even indulges in wine and chocolate, whenever possible.
Sister André was a teacher, a governess, looked after children during World War II, and spent 28 years caring for orphans and the elderly, all before becoming a nun. She worked until she was 108 and is committed to beating the world record for longest-lived person.
Prior to Tanake and Randon, the oldest recorded life was that Jeanne Louise Calment, was also French. Jeanne, who was born on 21 February 1875, lived to be 122.
As we move father into the Super Age, we will continue to see the extension of human lifespans. In fact, the first person to live to 150 has likely already been born.
